This is the product of the Frisco West Springfield shops who rebuilt SLSF 2-10-2 #26 into SLSF 4-8-2 #4405 in 1939. The newly rebult loco was fast and used in both passenger and freight service until finally being sold for scrap in December of 1952 after barely 13 years as a 4-8-2. Specs - serial #45326, 0" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 29x32" cylinders, engine weight of 449,760 lb, tractive effort of 68,600 lb. No date was listed for the photo so an approximate was used.
